Our Village, Vempet is located at a distance of 5 km (North) from Metpally Mandal, Karimnagar District of Andhra Pradesh, India.  .The Population of our Village is around 10000.

In our Village, we have a Village Administrative Office Building situated in the heart of the Village where Meetings of Gram sabha takes place and administrative decisions will be taken.

Our Village is the home for all Communities viz. Kaapu, Padmashali, Brahmins, Reddys, Gaud others.

Our Village have a State Government run High School for the students where Children from nearby villages also enrolled for their studies up to S.S.C. (10th Standard).

The main occupation is farming. The crops which grow in the fields are Rice, Sugar Cane & Vegetables.

Our village is surrounded by 3 Lakes viz. Pedda cheruvu, Madanna Cheruvu, Narsimha Kunta on West and a river which is about a Kilometer on the East. Our village also have the facility of Canal water which is passing through the village and useful for paddy fields.

The famous Godavari River which originates in Nashik, Maharashtra pass through Andhra Pradesh, flows at a distance of 30 KM in the North of our Village.

The Village is well connected by Road from Metpally (Mandal), where National Highway No.16 pass through and is center point for reaching surrounding Villages.  This Road is also connects Nirmal via.Khanapur, Adilabad District and reduce the travelling distance of  people from Metpally, Koratla Mandals to reach Adilabad.

One of the top Sugar Factories in Andhra Pradesh viz. Nizam Sugar Factory Pvt. Ltd. is situated at a distance of one KM from our Village.

In our Village we have four Major Temples viz. Shree Hanuman Temple situated right in the center of the Village, Shree Ram Temple on the southern side, Shree Venkateshwara Temple on the banks of Madanna cheruvu in the Western side and Gangamma Temple on the banks of Pedda Cheruvu.

In addition to these temples, we have places of worship at various locations in the outskirts of our Village viz. Shree Venkateshwara Marri, Shree Ambadevi marri where people perform pooja's and celebrate their rituals in the green outfields.

In addition to these, we also have Peddamma Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, Pochamma Temple where people perform Pooja for welfare of people of our Village.

We also have Padmashali Bhavan, an administrative office of Padmashali Community where people from the community gather & discuss the welfare of Community & arrange various events.

The Main festivals celebrated are Sankranti, Holi, Ugadi, Rama Navami, Hanuman Jayanthi, Shree Venkateshwara Kalyanam, Dasserah and Deepavali.  On the occasion of Shree Rama Navami & Shree Venkateshwara Kalyam celebrations, Maha prasadam (Annadanam) will be distributed.  These two festivals celebrated for 3 days each and people from surrounding villages visit the temples to have the blessings of Shree Ram and Shree Venkateshwara.
